A Story in a Story

A Story in a Story

There is a story unfolding in the sleepy village of Jerlun on the outskirts of Kuala Kangsar.

In an effort to make tourists feel more welcome the community are preparing to create an interesting space. ...a garden with a mural is the idea.

Malaysian artist Libby Oh has volunteered to oversee the project and is taking on the challenge.

No ordinary challenge I must say.... because she will be painting a story in a unique way which will surely peak the interest of villagers and tourists alike.

While it is common knowledge around here, communities have been assigned individual themes by the government and in Jerlun, well...they are the Minions and the mural will be a fun way to depict village characters and local history enough to become a 'must see' attraction for all new visitors. Jerlun is a popular 'Durian' haunt and this could also add some much sought after knowledge about the legendary Malaysian fruit.

The story is unfolding right now and the story will be bright and bold for a very long time to come. Visit Jerlun in 2025 and get your Durian and while you are at it. Make a selfie and share it with your friends and families.
